How much is it to study at Cadbury Sixth Form College?

Students are asked to make a £50 contribution to the college at enrolment which goes towards the cost of enrichment, college events, student support activities and services. Some subjects may require that students purchase a few additional materials, but the demand will be small....

What happens after I have submitted my application form?

When you have submitted your application, we will send a reference request directly to your school. If you have completed a paper copy of the application form, you will need to detach the reference request from your form, send pages 1 to 3 of the form back to us through the post and give the reference request to your school. We will then keep in touch and arrange for you to attend an interview at a later date. ...

What facilities are available at Cadbury Sixth Form College?

in recent years the college has invested over eight million pounds in considerable improvements and new buildings. We have a performing arts area that includes a 200 seat theatre, practice room and teaching rooms, our library has been enlarged to create a state-of-the-art Learning Resource Centre and the canteen has also been extended and updated. Our sports facilities now include a small hall, an outdoor all-weather area for tennis, football, netball and basketball, a fitness room and further changing rooms and our science facilities have been improved with a major refurbishment of all Chemistry, Biology and Physics laboratories. Our teaching rooms are well-equipped with audio-visual equipment and interactive whiteboards and there are specialist facilities for Art and Textiles, Computing, Design, Drama, Health and Social Care, Film and Media Studies, Modern Languages, Music and Music Technology, PE and Science. All subjects make use of the extensive computer network which extends throughout the buildings....

At your interview, we will discuss the subjects in which you are interested. Please bring your latest school report with you. If you have a Record of Achievement, it would be helpful if you bring this with you. We will put down a provisional programme of subjects for you to help us plan for September....

Following enrolment, you will take part in an induction session. You will be told the time of your induction session at your enrolment interview. During Induction you will be shown round the building and logged on to the college computer network....

When does enrolment take place?

In late August/early September, you come in for a second interview at the same time as other people from your school. This is when you make your final choice of subjects and enrol as a student at the college. You will have your photograph taken for your "swipe" card which lets you into the building and acts as your library card. You will also complete an assessment that will help us identify if there is a need to provide additional student support....

What is an Introduction Morning?

After you have taken your GCSE examinations, we invite you to come in for a day in late June/early July. You will be able to meet the staff and find out more about the subjects in which you are interested. This is an opportunity for you to obtain more information about the subjects that you intend to study. It also gives you the opportunity to meet your fellow students as well as meeting up with the College Reps who will be on hand to help you settle into your new environment....
