Student Success at Cadbury Sixth Form College
Caraina Tew was formerly a pupil at Turves Green Girls School and studied Product Design, ICT and History. Her proposed destination following her studies was an apprenticeship at Landrover Jaguar.

Sport & Recreation at Cadbury College

 

  • The college currently runs competitive sport teams in Football, Netball and Basketball. There are two football teams for boys and the 1st team had recent success winning the West Midlands Colleges League East in 2006 and 2007.
  • There is one netball team and one boys basketball team and we are hoping to try and set up basketball, badminton and girls football teams in the future.

  • Our extra-curricular recreation programme available to all students includes a wide variety of activities which offer specialist coaching or just an opportunity to have fun. The activities run after college and lunchtimes when all students can have access and activities include badminton, basketball, dance/aerobics, football, table tennis, tennis and volleyball
  • As part of the same programme students are able to join the college fitness rooms which can be used during and after college. The college has a specialist Weight training room as well as a well equipped cardiovascular room.

  • Students wishing to develop an interest in sport leadership, teaching and coaching can enrol on the National Step into Sport programme which allows students to be credited for any leadership or coaching volunteering they undertake in and out of college. The college can also help find appropriate placements for volunteering work.
