Going to university can be a great experience. You meet new people and work towards achieving a degree which can help you progress further into your chosen career path. However, studying at a university is not the only option you have when you have completed your A-levels. There is a range of other routes you can choose that may suit your needs.

As we approach the 24th August many year 11 students will begin to feel on edge, as years of study and waking up to get to school on time finally bares fruit. Some will achieve the grades they hoped and studied for, others will get grades they are happy enough with and some will get grades in certain subjects that they’re not so happy with. It is important to remember that these results, although high in importance for the next steps of the journey, are not the be all and end all if they do not go the right way. This is why we at Cadbury College are introducing the level 2 pathways.

Ogden Trust Year 12 Physicist

The Ogden Trust (www.ogdentrust.com) each year sponsor each school/college to nominate an outstanding year 12 Physics student to receive an award.  Miriam Davies was this year's award winner from Cadbury College.  She was chosen for her outstanding work and for gaining the top marks in the year.

The award was presented to Miriam at a special event held at Birmingham University School of Physics and Astronomy on Thursday evening 22nd June by the Ogden Trust.  The award was presented by Professor Martin Freer, the head of the School of Nuclear Physics at the University.
