Academisation of Cadbury College

Notice is hereby given that Cadbury Sixth Form College is seeking to become an academy and to join the Better Futures Multi-Academy Trust which is being sponsored by Coventry University. This announcement signals the start of a statutory consultation exercise under section 33N of the Further and Higher Education Act 1992 and FE Corporations Regulations, SI 2012 No. 1157. The College is proposing to dissolve its Governing Body and to transfer all property, rights and liabilities to the Better Futures Multi-Academy Trust.

"Dr Nick Henry is Co-Director, Centre for Business in Society, Coventry University. Previously he was Consulting Director, Economic and Economic Policy at ICF GHK - a research and evaluation consultancy. He is also a (founding) Director of the London-based social enterprise Creative United - a spin-out from Arts Council England. His children were born and educated in Birmingham (most recently Queensbridge School, Swanshurst School and Cadbury College)."

In September 2016, the new academic year began and exciting change was on the horizon for Cadbury College.  With a view to become part of the Covetry University Group, coupled with the appointment of a new Vice Principal of Curriculum and Quality, the academic year got off to an invigorating start, which promised to support the mission of the College to provide high quality education leading to excellent higher education and employment prospects for a diverse community of students.
