Cadbury College 9 - 1 Aston Manor Academy

Congratulations to the sixth form boys who put in an impressive home display to beat Aston Manor 9-1 to reach the semi-final of the county cup.

After a slow start, Cadbury were awarded 2 penalties inside 10 minutes which were both converted. Having given away a free kick just outside the penalty box area, AMA  scored with a direct shot to make it 2-1.

However, Cadbury playing with a renewed impetus then scored 3 quick well-worked goals to make the score line 5-1 at half-time.

The second half produced wave after wave of attacks by Cadbury and having missed a number of good chances finally scored 4 more goals in a 17 minute period to make the final score 9-1.

Well done to all 16 players involved, with goal scorers including: Alex Jeffers, Josh Dennis, Alex Beech and making his first appearance for the college, Rory Budge.  Special mention to Trai Jackson for his outstanding performance playing wing, providing many of the crosses that led to the goals.

Cadbury will play the winner of the match between Solihull 6th Form and Dudley College next month.
