Daniel exhibiting fantastic artwork in Cardiff

Daneil Yeomans joined Cadbury Sixth Form College in 2003 from North Bromsgrove High.  He achieved ABC in his A-Levels, in Art, Design Technology and Media Studies, and has gone on to achieve fantastic things in the world of art and design.  He went on to study at the Charles H. Cecil Studios in Florence, where he trained using a technique known as ‘sight-size’ favoured by many of the masters such as Velasquez, Sargent & Van Dyck.  In-keeping with his training, Daniel continues to paint only from life under natural light, and has a purpose built studio in the Welsh countryside, Montgomeryshire.

Over the next couple of weeks, Daniel's portrait of ‘Montgomery Town Crier’ will be displayed at the Welsh Assembly ‘Senedd’ in Cardiff.

Prior to this exhibition, Daniel's work has been showcased at a variety of exhibitions and events:

Melody Hossaini and NCS inspire students

On 20th September 2016, Melody Hossaini visited Cadbury Sixth Form College to talk to students about reaching goals, dreaming big and achieving all that they set out to do. Previously a star on Alan Sugar's The Apprentice in 2011, Melody is now founder and CEO of InspirEngage International after beginning work in the youth sector at just 13 years of age.

As part of their #SUCCESStour, Melody joined NCS at Cadbury College to talk to our students about her journey, and how they too can achieve their big dreams if they take opportunities and are determined enough to see it through.

Students enjoy their KickStart Experience!

The summer holidays are a great time for our students to recuperate after the academic year.  However they are also a fantastic opportunity, particularly for first year students, to build up some experience and prepare themselves for their upcoming second year and beyond.  Four of our students decided to grab the opportunity with both hands, and they signed up for the KickStart Programme run by the Springboard UK charity.  Springboard’s KickStart programmes are open to school and college leavers (16+) who are undecided on their career plans and is designed to help them in their career decision making, which is particularly helpful at a time when gaining a foothold on the career ladder is particularly difficult for young people.
