A Level Media Studies will enable you to develop the analytical skills required for making sense of the key role the mass media makes in modern society.
Learners study a range of media forms in terms of a theoretical framework which consists of media language, representation, media industries and audiences.
Learners will also consider established media forms alongside more contemporary forms, developing an awareness of emerging and evolving media.
Minimum of 5 GCSEs, two at grade 6 and three at grade 5 including Maths and English.
Students will research and write about a variety of media products. They will engage in classroom activities such as textual analysis, group discussion and practical work.

An individual cross-media production based on two forms in response to a choice of briefs set by the exam board. This will incorporate digital technologies such as photography and photo manipulation and non-linear film editing software.
