This course is an opportunity to create a foundation of new skills in Art and Design and also to acquire a high level of skill and knowledge in the area that you en joy the most. The core skills of drawing, the study of historical and contemporary artists, exploring ideas and visual communication form the basis of your study whatever your specialism.
There is no requirement for any specific prior learning but we do require that you achieve at least a Grade 3 in GCSE English and maths.
Students will have the opportunity to meet visiting artists to gain a deeper understanding of the design industry and will be working upon live industry led briefs.
Components of Course
Students are required to carry out 60 credits in order to gain the Level 2 qualification. The 60 credits equate to 7 units of which includes exploration of the following skills and techniques…
