Wednesday 22nd May saw the hard work, dedication and exceptional talent of our Creative and Performing Arts students being showcased in Cadbury College's very own exhibition centre. The exhibition was run in tandem with our Prospective Parent Information Evening, which was well attended by parents of our applicants. A fantastic opportunity for parents to find out about the college and what to expect over the coming months, the evening was a huge success.
From a range of A-Level and BTEC Level 3 subjects, including 3D Design, Fine Art, Textiles, Photography and Graphics, our students 2 years' worth of work was set up and showcased to parents, students and teachers from local schools.
Video compilations of the work were positioned throughout the exhibition, and visitors were able to flick through sketchbooks and chat to student ambassadors and teachers about the courses available. Our Performing Arts students took to the stage positioned in the centre of the canteen area to perform segments of their shows and productions from this academic year, whilst our Music Performance students showcased their singing and musical flair, filling the college with energy and excitement.
"It's just amazing to see that 16-18 year olds can produce such fantastic, innovative designs and pieces. They are an extremely talented group of people, from what i can see!", said one parent who visited on the evening.
On behalf of Cadbury College and the Creative and Performing Arts team, we would like to congratulate all students on their work this year, and wish our second years the best of luck with their next steps into university life and the creative world of work.
If you would like to take the opportunity to visit the Creative and Performing Arts Show, it is staying up in the college until Monday July 4th 2016 - simply email [email protected] if you would like to arrange a convenient time for this.
