Law Students at Cadbury College triumph in all three rounds- Bar Mock Trial Competition!

Law Students Win Mock Trial Competition

On Saturday 19th November 2017, Law students from Cadbury Sixth Form College visited Birmingham Crown Court and took part in the Bar Mock Trial Competition 2017. Law students triumphed in all 3 rounds, beating other sixth forms and colleges. Students, who received mentoring support from a Birmingham barrister, were given outstanding feedback from three judges who presided over the competition. Students took on roles of barristers and witnesses and presented their cases against other sixth forms and school.
Backed by charitable organisation the Citizenship Foundation, the annual advocacy competition saw the Kings Norton based sixth form beat other local sixth forms and colleges.
For over 25 years, the Citizenship Foundation has been helping teachers and legal professionals to develop young people’s legal capability. Young people in state schools have battled out mock criminal trials in real crown courts for a quarter of a century.
