Student success on A Level results day

Students receiving their results

Cadbury Sixth Form College are celebrating glowing A Level results!

We are celebrating a 98% pass rate, 100% pass rate in the majority of A Level subjects, and over 500 high A Level grades reflecting the hard work and dedication of both staff and students.

These results have enabled our students to secure their next step towards a bright future, including university acceptances at some of the leading institutions in the UK, as well as apprenticeships and work placements at major employers in the region and across the country.

Finley Hay, who achieved an A in Politics, a B in History and a B in Geography, accepted his place at the University of Liverpool this morning and said: “It’s due to the support of my teachers, family and friends that I’ve done so well. I really can’t wait to start my university life now.”

A* student, Faiza Tahid who confirmed her place at University of Birmingham to study Philosophy and Literature, added: “I was so shocked when I opened my results – I was so unsure what to think and didn’t know what to expect! I am so proud of my results, and I just want to thank my teachers who always encouraged me to do wider reading which I think really helped secure the results I achieved.”

Julia Stevens, Principal of Cadbury Sixth Form College, said: “Our city has just witnessed the incredible achievements of Team England at the 2022 Commonwealth Games, and we now have even more to celebrate thanks to another year of outstanding results from our students.

“I’d like to personally congratulate all our A Level students and they should be incredibly proud of the results that have been achieved today. They have experienced unprecedented upheaval to their studies due to the Covid-19 pandemic, but it’s testament to their hard work, resilience and dedication that they can now go on to achieve their future goals.

“I’d also like to thank our dedicated team of lecturers and support staff, who are committed to providing the very best levels of teaching and pastoral care to each and every student. It has been yet another hugely rewarding year at the College and it’s fantastic to see everyone’s hard work come to fruition.”
