Supporting you to Step Up

Information for new students.

The term for our new lower sixth students starts this week with an induction programme on Thursday 4th September and Friday 5th September.

Induction is when we welcome new students to the college and provide lots of useful information that will support them during their time with us. It is also a chance to meet teaching staff and fellow students.

For many new students this is an exciting time but some individuals may be feeling a little nervous.

Individuals can sometimes be worried about starting new subjects or are concerned about the step up from GCSE to A Level.

New students, do not worry, help is at hand!

Cadbury College will help you Step Up!

Step Up is a college wide programme specifically designed to help students make a successful transition from GCSE to AS Level study.

It focuses on helping individuals gain the skills they need to become successful Cadbury students.

Delivered across all subjects, Step Up supports students with:

  • Personal organisation
  • Independent learning
  • Making notes
  • Problem solving.

Step Up supports students with the move from school to college.

The Step Up programme helps students become ‘independent learners’ and provides them with the skills they need to be successful, not only at Cadbury but also at university.
