Welcoming new students to Freshers’ Fayre

Student at Freshers' Fayre

New first year students at Cadbury Sixth Form College were treated to a Freshers’ Fayre at the end of induction week filled with candy floss, popcorn, music, balloon animals and street food!

Students were given the opportunity to browse stalls from external visitors, which included universities, Stress Box, Umbrella, Duke of Edinburgh Award, Birmingham Bulls and many more.

It was a great opportunity for students to sign up to enrichment activities and sports, and sign up their interest for the 2020 student international trip to Budapest.  Students were offered the chance to discover a range of activities available for them to join and take part in alongside their studies.

Umbrella, part of University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust was there and provided free and confidential sexual health services to students.

Representatives from University of Birmingham, Coventry University, Wolverhampton University, Birmingham City University and Newman University were on hand to speak to students about their course offerings and answer any questions they had.

It was a great morning for all the students and a fantastic end to the first week of the new academic year!
