A high priority was given by leaders and managers to English and mathematics and this was rewarded by high levels of achievement in Maths and strong progression in English.
The College has a clear and comprehensive policy for the provision of English and maths.
The strategic priority given to the provision of English and maths in order to ensure that learners improve compared to their starting points is high. 4.5 hours are allocated each week for direct teaching and emphasis is placed on embedding these subjects across the wider curriculum.
For its size, Cadbury has a sizable team consisting of Designated Safeguarding Lead and three deputies, all trained to Level 3.
All policies relating to Safeguarding and Prevent have been recently reviewed and approved at the appropriate level.
The lead Governor for Safeguarding remains Hifsa Haroon-Iqbal. She is highly qualified and experienced and provides training and consultancy services to other education providers in relation to Safeguarding and Prevent.
Governors are encouraged to undertake Level 2 training via the College’s on-line facility.
Lucky students studying A Levels in History and Politics descended on London recently to visit the historic Houses of Parliament. 45 students took advantage of the opportunity to bring their courses to life by looking behind the scenes at the home of British power and law making.
Cadbury Sixth Form College wishes to appoint a part-time (0.8fte) Teacher of Health & Social Care, initially on a fixed term contract to August 2018.
Health & Social Care is a popular subject within the College, and we currently offer a range of BTEC L3 and CTEC L2 qualifications.
